Part‑Time Associate Veterinarian – Merritt Island Location

About the Role
This position offers flexible scheduling, ranging from one weekend rotation per month up to 8 shifts per month, depending on your availability. Compensation is paid per diem.
Shifts generally consist of:
- Wellness and preventative care appointments
- Urgent care cases (non‑critical)
- Light surgical procedures (basic surgical competency required)
What You’ll Do
- Provide high‑quality medical care with a focus on communication, client education, and patient comfort
- Perform wellness exams, sick visits, and urgent care evaluations
- Conduct minor surgical procedures and manage anesthetic cases as needed
- Collaborate with our experienced support staff to ensure smooth, efficient workflow
- Maintain thorough, accurate medical records
- Uphold our hospital’s standards for patient care, safety, and client service
What We’re Looking For
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree
- Active Florida veterinary license
- Strong clinical skills in general practice and basic surgery
- Excellent communication and client‑service mindset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive, professional attitude aligned with our hospital culture
Pay: $49,601.92 – $59,735.65 per year
