Parks and Recreation Seasonal Patrol
Job Description
Acts as a visible presence in Town parks, athletic fields, public tennis and pickleball courts, and other parks and recreational properties under the jurisdiction of the Parks and Recreation Department — promoting public safety, protecting natural resources, ensuring appropriate park & field use, and providing information and assistance to visitors. This is a seasonal position, working approximately 15 – 25 hours per week, from March – early December.
The schedule includes weekends and variable hours depending on operational needs.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma, plus experience dealing with the public in a variety of customer service and rule enforcement circumstances. First Aid, CPR and AED certification required (training provided if needed). Must possess valid driver’s license.
Additional qualifications:
Proven ability to communicate effectively. Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain professionalism in all public interactions. Proven ability to work independently and follow established patrol routines. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays to meet operational needs.
