Blue Pearl Pet Hospital is hiring experienced Licensed Veterinary Technicians to work overnight in our busy Emergency department in Kirkland, WA.
LVT Pay: $25.60 – $49.15 / hour
This pay band is a starting point and depends on experience and advancement through the Kahuna leveling system.
We offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked during nights and weekends. Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum. For example:
Mon – Fri: 6pm to 8am = $4.00 Shift Differential
Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $4.00 Shift Differential
Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.50 Shift Differential

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will:
Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia using anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
Triage emergency cases, obtaining vital signs such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
Perform digital radiography with proper technique and patient positioning.
Understand normal ranges of vital signs and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs, alerting Veterinarians to any issues.
Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
Calculate medical math, administer medications appropriately, and place intravenous catheters.
Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
Mentor and train co-workers, demonstrating patience and empathy to address client concerns.
