<Responsibilities>
- Assist with animal restraint and handling to ensure safety during examinations and procedures
- Monitor hospitalized animals overnight, providing basic pet care and observing for any changes in condition
- Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection and ensure cleanliness
- Manage animal husbandry duties including feeding, cleaning kennels, and ensuring proper animal comfort
- Assist with animal catheterization, intravenous access, and other critical care procedures as needed
- Ensure accurate documentation of treatments, medications administered, and patient observations
<Qualifications>
- Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and restraint techniques
- Experience with laboratory procedures and aseptic technique in a clinical setting
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts while maintaining high standards of animal care
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and communicate with pet owners when necessary
