Full Job Description
Bark Mountain Pet Resort is seeking a dependable and compassionate Overnight Kennel Technician to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of our canine guests overnight. This position is ideal for night owls who are detail-oriented, love working independently, and have a passion for animal care.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor the safety and welfare of all boarding dogs throughout the night
Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized kennel environment
Perform scheduled nighttime cleaning duties
Conduct periodic overnight checks on each animal and log observations
Respond to any unusual behavior, health concerns, or noise disturbances
Assist with early morning feeding and potty breaks before the morning shift arrives
Follow all safety and handling procedures as trained
Communicate effectively with the morning staff to ensure a smooth shift transition
Requirements:
Previous kennel, veterinary, or animal care experience preferred but not required
Comfortable working independently and staying alert overnight
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to follow established procedures
