Overnight Kennel Attendant Jobs in Dallas, TX at All American Pet Resort Dallas
Responsibilities:
– Provide daily care and maintenance for animals in the kennel
– Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas
– Feed and water animals according to their specific dietary needs
– Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to the supervisor
– Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
– Exercise and socialize animals to ensure their physical and mental well-being
– Assist with animal restraint during medical procedures or examinations
– Maintain accurate records of animal care, including feeding schedules, medications, and behavior observations
Skills:
– Animal handling: Ability to safely handle a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, and small mammals
– Pet care: Knowledge of basic pet care needs, including feeding, grooming, and exercise requirements
– Animal restraint: Proficient in safely restraining animals during medical procedures or examinations
– Heavy lifting: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects such as bags of food or large crates
– Dog training: Basic understanding of dog training techniques and ability to implement them as needed
– Veterinary technician: Familiarity with veterinary procedures and ability to assist veterinary staff as directed
– Animal care: General knowledge of animal behavior, health, and welfare principles
– Kennel: Experience working in a kennel or similar animal care facility
– Veterinary: Understanding of veterinary terminology and procedures
– Dog handling: Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments safely
