Overnight Emergency Veterinarian Technician Jobs in Bee Cave, TX at Violet Crown Veterinary Specialists
Local, privately owned, and DVM owner-operated emergency and specialty hospital. We’re looking for emotionally intelligent collaborators to accomplish our goals of providing 24/7/365 veterinary emergency and specialty care to the Central Texas community at our brand new facility in Bee Cave, Texas.

Your Qualifications
*Two years of experience as a veterinary technician in an emergency, specialty, or fast-paced general practice environment *High EQ and collaborative nature
Minimum requirements include proficiency in:
*Medical terminology *Low stress animal handling techniques *Evaluation of patients upon arrival to determine triage status *Patient care fundamentals, including monitoring, treatment administration, and procedural assistance for both inpatients and outpatients *Knowledge of commonly utilized medications and drug dosage calculation *Oral, subcutaneous, IM, and IV medication administration *Collection of blood and bodily fluids for diagnostic in-house and reference lab testing *CRI calculation and administration *Radiation safety techniques and radiographic image acquisition *Principles of transfusion medicine *Principles of CPR; experience participating in codes preferred *Stabilization and maintenance of critical patients *Vascular access techniques including IV catheterization, central line placement, arterial catheterization, and intraosseous catheterization *Knowledge of common emergency medicine protocols *Placement and/or maintenance of NG tubes, thoracostomy tubes, nasal oxygen cannulas, and urinary catheters *Oxygen administration and therapy *Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery with and without mechanical ventilation

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $18.00 – $30.00/hour.
