Your Role as an Emergency Veterinary Technician
In this critical position, you will play an essential role in ensuring the best possible care for our patients. Your responsibilities will include:
– Patient Care: Provide advanced nursing care, monitor patients, administer treatments, and ensure comfort.
– Diagnostics: Assist with lab work, radiographs, and diagnostic procedures.
– Surgical Support: Assist in anesthesia monitoring, surgical prep, and post-operative care.
– Client Communication: Educate pet owners and provide compassionate support.
– Teamwork: Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to deliver seamless care.
What We’re Looking For
✔ Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Veterinary Technician (emergency experience preferred but not required).
✔ Skills:
Proficient in IV catheter placement, blood draws, and administering medications.
Experience with radiographic positioning and taking diagnostic-quality images.
Understanding of medical math, including fluid rates and dosages.
Familiarity with anesthesia monitoring and critical care procedures.
✔ Attitude:
Compassionate, dependable, and a true team player.
