Blue Pearl Pet Hospital is hiring experienced Veterinary Technicians to work in our busy Emergency and Critical Care department.
We are now offering a Sign-On Bonus for up to $5,000!
+ optional moving allowance if a qualified candidate is relocating!
Pay: $25.00 – $42.50 / hour
This pay band is a starting point and depends on experience and advancement through our competency assessment.
Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation commensurate with experience
We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked during nights and weekends.
* Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum.*
For example:
Mon – Fri: 6pm to 8am = $3.50 Shift Differential
Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.00 Shift Differential
Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $3.50 Shift Differential
Our 20,000-square-foot hospital underwent a full remodel of the ICU and reception entrance in summer 2022. The ICU now features a new 64-slice CT. The hospital also has an on-site MRI, orthopedic surgical equipment, laparoscopy, thoracoscopy, and arthroscopy. It includes an internal medicine service with endoscopy, ultrasound, and radiographic diagnostics.

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will:
Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia, using anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
Triage emergency cases, obtaining vitals such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
Perform digital radiography with proper technique and patient positioning.
Understand normal ranges of vital signs and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs, alerting veterinarians to changes.
Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
Calculate medical math, administer medications via appropriate routes and durations.
Proficiently perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters.
Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
Mentor and train colleagues.
Address client concerns with patience and empathy.
