Job Summary
VetNow Animal Urgent Care is looking for a veterinary professional to fill an overnight hybrid role. This person would ideally have experience as a doctor’s assistant, as well as be comfortable with some client service duties and light technician assistant duties, such as patient restraint.

Role Description:
This is a full-time on-site position as a Doctor Assistant/CSR hybrid at VetNow Animal Urgent Care in Studio City, CA. The Overnight Doctor Assistant/CSR Hybrid is responsible for supporting overnight hospital operations by providing assistance to the doctor, communicating with clients, and assisting with patient care as needed. This role works closely with the veterinarian and technician team to ensure efficient patient flow, clear client communication, and high-quality care for urgent and emergency cases.
- Full time – rotating 3×10 and 4×10 hour shifts
- Support the veterinarian with patient intake, detailed history gathering, examinations, treatments, patient restraint, and other clinical duties as needed.
- Provide compassionate, professional client service by greeting clients, answering phones, communicating updates and treatment recommendations, and assisting with questions and concerns.
- Assist with patient check-in and discharge, including preparing estimates, obtaining required paperwork and signatures, reviewing medications and discharge instructions, and collecting payments.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient medical records, documenting client communications, patient histories, charges, and other relevant information in EzyVet.
- Help manage patient and appointment flow by coordinating communication between clients, the veterinarian, and hospital team while prioritizing urgent and emergency cases.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked hospital environment while assisting with general patient care, front-desk responsibilities, and other operational needs throughout the overnight shift.

Requirements
- Prior experience in veterinary medicine a must
- Prior experience in a doctor assistant or technician assistant position is a bonus
- High-school education or equivalent

Pay: $22.00 – $28.00 per hour
