Job Summary / Basic Function
Outdoor Program – Climbing Wall Attendant will be primarily responsible for maintaining a high level of safety. Attendants will be responsible for teaching participants proper belay and tie-in techniques as well as handling card transactions for gear rental, day pass, and retail purposes. Basic wall maintenance and cleaning duties will be required. The position reports to the Coordinator, Outdoor Program. Specific

Monday – Friday evenings.
Required Qualifications
- Enforce all Outdoor Program Technical Training Center policies and rules.
- Know, understand, and carry out proper check-in and check-out procedures, including day pass and retail sales as well as equipment check-in and check-out procedures.
- Hiring priority will be given to students awarded federal work-study; please be prepared to provide documentation of work-study award status.
- CPR / AED and Standard First Aid certifications are required prior to working at the WRC.
Preferred Qualifications
- Supervise the services and programs of the Weber Rocks Climbing Wall.
- Enforce all Weber Rocks Climbing Wall policies and rules.
- Know, understand and carry out proper check-in and check-out procedures, including day pass sales and equipment check-out and check-in.

This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.
Physical Activity of this position

Physical Requirements of this position
Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Visual Acuity Requirements
Color, depth perception and field of vision. Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; using a computer terminal; extensive reading.
