Role Description The Order Taker role at Soy & Spice is a full-time, on-site position based in Multan. The Order Taker is responsible for greeting guests, taking accurate food and beverage orders in person and by phone, and entering orders into the ordering system. This role includes answering menu questions, suggesting items to enhance the guest experience, coordinating with the kitchen and service staff, and ensuring orders are delivered correctly and on time. Day-to-day tasks also include handling payments, maintaining a clean and organized order-taking area, following restaurant policies and procedures, and supporting the team during peak hours to provide efficient, courteous service.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to interact clearly, politely, and professionally with guests and team members.
- Candidates should possess Sales skills to suggest menu items, promote specials, and support revenue growth through upselling.
- Candidates should possess Training-related skills to learn standard operating procedures quickly and support new team members when needed.
- Candidates should possess basic Food & Beverage knowledge to understand the menu, ingredients, and service standards.
- Candidates should preferably have basic Forklift Operation or similar equipment-handling awareness if assisting with inventory or stock movement, though this is not mandatory.
- Candidates should bring strong customer service orientation, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Candidates should have basic numeracy and cash-handling skills for processing orders and payments accurately.
- Prior experience in restaurants, cafes, or retail customer service is an advantage; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
