Requirements:
Employment in this position is contingent upon a satisfactory criminal history check (fingerprint-based) in accordance with Chapter 435, Florida Statutes.
Work at the FWC is cross-functional, meaning duties may cross division/office lines. The Commission expects employees to function across FWC’s organizational structure by providing their skills and expertise wherever needed through work on teams or as directed.
Overview:
This is a weekday full-time seasonal employment position based out of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s (FWC) Tenoroc Youth Conservation Center in Lakeland.
The successful candidates willjoin our teamMay 19 – July 30.
This position will assist in delivery of summer camp programming which will embody the four pillars of the Florida Youth Conservation Centers Network (FYCCN):
Shooting Sports, Ethical Angling, Boating, and Wildlife Discovery. TYCC will host 6 weeks of summer camp in 2025, offering three different camps including:
PrecisionSports Camp, Hooks and Hulls Camp, and Outdoor Adventure Camp.
This position will work alongside teammates to provide a safe and educational summer camp experience for youth in grades 3-9.

Experience:
Experience working with youth and experience with pillar activities is preferred.
High School Diploma, preference for applicants having completed or seeking a highereducationdegree.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be comfortable with working in adverse weather conditions such as heat and rain.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
