CliniHunters is a leading Global clinical headhunting boutique consultancy. Our client is a dynamic and clinically-led independent veterinary group with an outstanding reputation within the UK veterinary sector.
CliniHunters’ client, a thriving independent veterinary group with multiple locations, is seeking an Operations and Finance Manager to lead its day-to-day operations and financial management. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth running of the practice, maintaining high clinical and service standards, and driving financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Leadership
Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Oversee recruitment, development, and performance management, fostering an inclusive and high-performing team culture.
Drive operational improvements, marketing initiatives, and client engagement tools (e.g. PHC, Pets App) to enhance service delivery.
Manage locum cover and workforce planning across multiple sites.
Maintain exceptional hygiene, safety, and compliance standards in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974).
Support senior leadership in implementing new projects and business growth initiatives.
Finance & Commercial Management
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and P&L reporting to ensure financial efficiency.
Manage payroll, pensions, invoices, and payments via Xero.
Monitor KPIs, control costs, and identify opportunities for growth.
Oversee weekly cashing-up, banking, and financial reporting across all locations.
