The Role
You will work alongside other consultants and clients, typically on-site, to achieve transformation objectives. Your responsibilities include supporting workstreams and executing effective improvement plans within operations, from shop floor enhancements to fundamental changes in work processes and information and material flows. You will build relationships with both shop floor operators and C-suite executives to drive change and support client and internal teams in turnarounds, transformations, and expansions.
You should feel comfortable conducting the following analysis with light support and direction:
Process Capacity & Utilization Modeling
Bottleneck Analysis
Waste Reduction
Warehouse Restructuring
KPI Creation
Root Cause Analysis
Workforce Analysis
Duties / Responsibilities:
Support project managers and taking ownership for project workstreams, transformations, and turnarounds
Problem-solve technical manufacturing issues using structured methodologies
Use facts and data to prioritize improvement opportunities
You will adopt a process-oriented approach to solving problems and will break a large complex problem into a series of smaller, more manageable modules.
You will need to cultivate strong relationships where everyone around you feels respected and valued.
Execute project related tasks to drive change and improvements to the overall execution of client operations
Recommend actions and help clients implement them
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in a high-performance manufacturing or consulting environment
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)
Functional knowledge in one or more of the following: Lean Manufacturing, project management, process automation, continuous improvement
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with people at all levels in an organization
Strong communication and organizational skills
Willingness to travel +80%
Preferred:
Experience in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt is a plus) and methodologies including but not limited to Kaizen methods, JIT, Kanban, SMED, 5S, Poka Yoke, Visual Workplace, and VSM
Consulting experience or operations leadership – ideally with a focus on operations, manufacturing, supply chain, or complex programs.
Compensation: $135,000+ annually
Travel Required: +80%
