About the Role

We are looking for an Operational Excellence Lead to drive continuous improvement across our manufacturing and supply chain operations. This role will lead initiatives focused on improving productivity, quality, cost efficiency, compliance, and overall operational performance through Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on change leader who can translate operational data into improvement opportunities and foster a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the Operational Excellence strategy and roadmap in alignment with business objectives.
  • Identify and prioritize improvement opportunities across the end-to-end value chain, from procurement to finished goods delivery.
  • Lead large-scale Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement projects, including VSM, 5S, Kaizen, TPM, and DMAIC.
  • Drive waste elimination, process optimization, cycle-time reduction, productivity improvement, and cost efficiency.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators, including OEE, yield, waste, efficiency, and cost savings.
  • Ensure the sustainability of improvements through standardization, control plans, and visual management.
  • Act as a change agent by coaching and developing teams in Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and leadership to drive the adoption of new ways of working and improve operational performance.
  • Provide data-driven insights through performance reviews, dashboards, and operational analytics.
  • Ensure all improvement initiatives comply with cGMP, Quality, and EHS requirements.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure process improvements maintain product quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Pharm-D or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.E.)
  • 10–15 years of experience in manufacturing operations, process improvement, operational excellence, or quality management.
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience is mandatory.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • MBA and/or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification will be an added advantage.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma (DMAIC).
  • Hands-on experience with TPM, 5S, Kaizen, VSM, SPC, and OEE.
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and data interpretation skills.
  • Experience with SAP and performance management systems.
  • Proficiency in developing and using visual management tools and performance dashboards.
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and change leadership skills.
