Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and diagnose health conditions in a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, exotic pets, and horses.
- Perform surgical procedures ranging from routine spays and neuters to more complex surgeries with supervision and guidance.
- Administer anesthesia using general anesthesia techniques, monitor vital signs, and ensure patient safety during procedures.
- Provide emergency medicine and critical care for urgent cases, utilizing skills in animal restraint, animal handling, and aseptic technique.
- Develop treatment plans based on veterinary internal medicine principles, including cardiology, oncology, and other specialties.
- Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care strategies while maintaining professional ethics.
- Assist with laboratory diagnostics, sample collection, and interpretation of results to inform clinical decisions.
- Maintain accurate medical records following clinical ethical guidelines and veterinary terminology standards.
Experience
- Recent graduation from an accredited veterinary college with a valid license or eligibility to practice veterinary medicine.
- Demonstrated knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary surgery techniques.
- Hands-on experience with animal restraint, animal catheterization, pet grooming, and laboratory procedures during internships or clinical rotations.
- Familiarity with exotic animal medicine and equine experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
- Strong communication skills for client education and team collaboration.
- Ability to handle diverse animals confidently including dogs handling and pet care routines.
- Commitment to professional ethics and continuous learning within the veterinary field.

Pay: $90,000.00 – $200,000.00 per year
