Motivated and Experienced Veterinary Assistant Needed Jobs in Powhatan, VA at RIVER RUN ANIMAL HOSPITAL
Do you want to be part of a progressive team, looking to meet clients where they are, and help by a voice for pets?As a veterinary assistant in our hospital, you will be assisting our licensed veterinary technicians and veterinarians in the medical care and treatment of our patients; as well as, some light clerical work. We are looking for the right candidate to join our busy team. We are open Mon-Fri from 8am-8pm, and 8am-5pm on weekends; but we are closed holidays.
Daily tasks include, but are not limited to:
Obtaining intake vitals and a pertinent history on patients for their appointments
Performing in-house labwork and assisting in radiology
Assisting in prepping for surgery, and in the OR
Filling prescription medications
Restraining for physical examinations, venipuncture, medication administration, etc .
