Diploma or Degree in: Industrial Chemistry, Polymer Technology, Analytical Chemistry or related technical field.
Experience Requirements
i) Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in plastics manufacturing or mixing operations.
ii) Experience in UPVC, HDPE, PPR, PVC trucking and gutter production is highly preferred.
iii) Supervisory experience in mixing or quality control section is an added advantage.
i) Supervise raw material weighing, batching, and mixing operations.
ii) Verify formulation compliance for the products being extruded.
iii) Ensure correct usage of raw materials: PVC resin, Stabilizers, Calcium carbonate, Lubricants, Processing aids, Pigments/masterbatch, Regrind/ pulverized materials
iv) Monitor mixing parameters including: Temperature, Mixing time, Cooling cycles, Batch consistency
v) Conduct quality checks on mixed materials before production release.
vi) Ensure traceability of raw materials and mixed batches.
vii) Identify and control non-conforming materials.
viii) Coordinate laboratory testing for mixed compounds where required.
ix) Ensure compliance with approved formulations and production specifications.
x) Support reduction of material contamination and mixing errors.
xi) Maintain accurate batch records and quality documentation.
xii) Support implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
