Job Context
To always ensure the availability of the correct quality and quantity of stock on retailer shelves and stock rooms in alignment with predefined work objectives (as per agreed standard operating procedures). Manages promotional material, ensuring branding strips and price communication keys are in place and builds displays.
Key Performance Areas (KPA)
- Merchandising food products within retail stores
- Adhering to store merchandising policies
- Ensuring that stock is rotated to avoid expired stock returns
- Ensuring promotions and deals are set-up/ executed timeously impact on the safe working
- environment, natural environment and/or the public
- Communicate any all opportunities and challenges via the correct channels
Qualifications Required
- Grade 12 minimum
- Computer literacy is a requirement.
- Merchandising experience 1-2 years a must in FMCG sector
- Smart phone device
Skills and Experience Required
- Must be able to communicate in English and Afrikaans;
- Must be able to follow instructions;
- Must be able to lift heavy objects. Therefore, physical fitness is required;
- An ability to work to tight deadlines;
- Able to work under pressure;
- Available to work overtime;
- Good people skills
- Team player and willing to assist colleagues when required
- A self- motivated individual with the ability to work independently
- Must be able to read and write and have basic math and recording abilities
