Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our Veterinary healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks within a busy medical office environment. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations and maintaining patient satisfaction.
Duties
Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for people and their pets
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers.
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
Assist with filing and organizing patient records, ensuring easy retrieval of information.
Answer phone calls promptly, addressing patient inquiries or directing them to the appropriate staff member.
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.
Handle administrative tasks such as data entry and maintaining office supplies.
Requirements
Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a medical office setting.
Experience with medical records management and understanding of Medicare processes is highly desirable.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and staff.
Proficiency in using office equipment and software relevant to medical billing and scheduling.
Previous experience as a medical Receptionist or in similar roles is a plus.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail is essential for success in this position.
