Awanui Labs – Canterbury is a community-based diagnostic laboratory, and we process 3500+ samples from our 11 collection sites daily.
About the role | Mō te tūranga:
Our Biochemistry department is currently searching for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and competent Medical Laboratory Scientist, based in our Christchurch Laboratory. This is a permanent, full-time position working 80 hours per fortnight on a rotating roster.

Eligible to register as a Medical Laboratory Scientist with the Medical Science Council, NZ.
A sound knowledge of laboratory operations including safety, operation of equipment, and hands-on practical experience in Biochemistry..
The ability to work in a methodical manner adhering to strict quality procedure guidelines.
A team focus with strong prioritisation, interpersonal and communication skills
The ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Ability to work evening and weekend shifts on a rotating roster.
