Introduction

Our client is a hospital hiring for a Lead Veterinarian within an AAHA-accredited, full-service small animal practice. The hospital provides comprehensive care to small animal patients and is seeking an experienced veterinarian to take on a leadership role while continuing to deliver high-quality clinical care in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities

The Lead Veterinarian will provide comprehensive clinical care including wellness medicine, dentistry, internal medicine, and surgery, while utilizing advanced diagnostic tools to support patient outcomes. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the role involves leading and supporting the veterinary team, maintaining high medical standards, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture. The position is suited to an experienced veterinarian with a strong surgical background who is looking to take the next step into leadership while remaining actively involved in day-to-day clinical work.

Practice Details

The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm. The facility is AAHA-accredited and fully equipped with ultrasound, digital radiography, dental radiology, therapeutic laser, ECG, Doppler, and a full suite of diagnostic testing including bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal testing, and snap tests. Services include wellness and preventive care, vaccinations, parasite prevention, dentistry, surgery, advanced diagnostic imaging, medical boarding, and grooming.

The practice emphasizes high-quality medicine, strong client relationships, and a supportive clinical environment.

Team

The team consists of 4 veterinarians supported by a collaborative group of veterinary professionals. The environment is inclusive and team-oriented, with a focus on collaboration and delivering high standards of patient care.

Candidate Requirements

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
