We are a well-established, multi‑doctor veterinary hospital in the Baltimore, Maryland area seeking a Medical Director – Veterinarian to lead our clinical team. Responsibilities
- Lead and support the veterinary team in delivering exceptional patient care.
- Establish and maintain high medical and surgical standards.
- Mentor veterinarians and support staff.
- Partner with hospital leadership to enhance clinical protocols and operational efficiency.
- Promote a positive, collaborative hospital culture.
- Provide preventive care, diagnostics, and chronic disease management.
- Perform general soft tissue surgeries.
- Deliver dental care, including extractions and interpretation of dental radiographs.
- Build strong client relationships through effective communication and education.
Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree from an AVMA‑accredited veterinary school.
- Must hold a Maryland veterinary license (or be able to obtain one).
- Minimum of 3 years of small animal practice experience.
- Strong surgical and dental skills.
- Prior leadership or mentoring experience preferred.
- Passion for coaching, collaboration and high‑quality veterinary medicine.
