What You Will Do in Your Role:
-
Coordinates medical task lists for VBSPCA animal population
-
Work with Shelter Leadership in coordinating medical care for sick and/or injured animals
-
Ensure that internal surgery schedules are efficiently filled
-
Maintains detailed medical records for VBSPCA animal population
-
Juggle well! Multi-task in a fast-paced environment
What We are Looking For in this Dynamic Job :
-
Experience working with animals in an animal welfare setting (animal shelter and/or veterinary field preferred)

Knowledge of common animal medical needs; including disease prevention, symptoms, and basic terminology

Ability to execute medical treatments as provided by the Shelter Veterinarian in Charge and/or other veterinarian professionals

Ability to work collaboratively with all types of people and personalities
-
Strong multitasking, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
-
Ability to stay organized and prioritize in an active environment
-
Motivated to learn, gain experience, and advance their knowledge

Strong communication skills
