Mebane Veterinary Hospital is a leading, trusted small animal practice dedicated to providing exceptional, compassionate care to the Mebane community and surrounding areas, including Carrboro, Efland, and Burlington. We’re looking for a Full-Time Associate Veterinarian with strong surgical skills and confidence to join our team and take a lead role in our surgical caseload.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Full-Time Associate Veterinarian (DVM) with a strong interest and skill set in surgery to join our growing practice. This role is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys being hands-on in the surgical suite as much as in the exam room, and who’s looking to make a real impact on a well-established hospital’s surgical capacity.
What You’ll Do
- Perform a variety of surgical procedures, including routine soft tissue surgeries, with opportunity to expand caseload complexity based on skill and interest
- Provide comprehensive general practice (GP) medical care, including physical exams, diagnostics, and treatment plans
- Utilize in-house diagnostics, including digital imaging, to guide surgical and treatment decisions
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding surgical recommendations and outcomes
- Maintain accurate medical and surgical records
- Collaborate closely with support staff to ensure efficient surgical scheduling and patient flow
Schedule
- Full-time role
- Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM; Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
- Closed weekends

Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent)
- Licensed or eligible for veterinary licensure in North Carolina
