The Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of marketing (product and portfolio) and pricing strategies. The marketing manager is responsible for ensuring the marketing strategy is aligned to Norbrook’s commercial objectives.
Leadership, coaching and support of the marketing team in the development and execution of brand strategies and tactics to drive the growth of the company’s animal pharmaceutical products. Working closely with the global team to lead NPD, drive product launch projects and development of marketing tools to drive competitive differentiation.
Main Activities/Tasks
Strategy Development
• Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans and strategies to meet company objectives.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs and competitive analysis.
• Collaborate with senior management to align marketing with business goals.
• Identify market opportunities and create plans to capitalise on them, driving growth within each channel.
Implementation of Strategies
• Translate high-level strategies into practical, actionable, and measurable plans.
• Collaborate with regional teams to ensure flawless execution of channel strategies.
• Share best practices and create an open learn and improvement culture in the marketing team.
Brand Management
• Strengthen the company’s brand positioning within each channel and ensure consistent messaging.
• Develop and implement a New Product Introduction (NPI) channel strategy, working closely with R&D and Project Management to ensure a first-to-market approach and strong product differentiation.
• Campaign management & content creation
• Plan, execute and optimise marketing campaigns across various channels including digital, print and social media.
• Monitor and analyse campaign performance metrics, provide actionable insights to improve future marketing efforts.
• Oversee the creation of marketing materials such as brochures, press releases, newsletters, and social media posts.
• Ensure all content aligns with Norbrook’s brand guidelines and messaging.
• Oversee the creation and execution of marketing campaigns for specific product categories.
• Ensure campaigns are innovative, disruptive, and effectively reach target audiences.
Performance Measurement
• Establish KPIs and metrics to measure the success of channel strategies and campaigns.
• Regularly analyse performance data and adjust strategies to improve outcomes.
Market Analysis and Insights
• Conduct thorough market analysis and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions.
• Monitor industry trends and adjust strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive edge within each channel.
Digital marketing
• Manage the company’s online presence including website, email marketing, and social media platforms.
• Develop and maintain SEO strategies to enhance website visibility and traffic.
Budget management
• Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
• Track expenses and optimise spending to maximise ROI.
Team Leadership
• Lead, mentor and motivate a team of marketing professionals.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
• Collaborate closely with sales management for input from field.
Stakeholder management
• Work closely with sales, product development and customer service teams to ensure cohesive marketing efforts.
• Liaise with external agencies as needed.
• Develop strong relationships with KOLs and stakeholders across the veterinary and retail channels.
Essential Criteria:
• 5+ years of experience in marketing roles, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
• Direct sales experience.
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies.
• Strong marketing structure and commercial acumen with the ability to drive channel-specific revenue growth.
• Excellent analytical skills for market research and performance measurement.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in budget management and resource allocation.
• Strong decision-making skills.
Desirable Criteria:
• Ideally experienced in both Large and Companion Animal and working in both multinational companies and mid-sized enterprises.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing. A master’s degree is preferred.
