Details
Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) — part of the PTCL Group, the largest integrated ICT and Cellular Network provider in Pakistan — is seeking a Manager Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) to join its team in Islamabad.
This role ensures organizational compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations, while fostering a culture of safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement across all operations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented professional passionate about building safe workplaces and leading HSE excellence initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and implement HSE procedures, instructions, and programs at the zonal level in coordination with the central HSE team.
- Conduct Safety Observation Tours (SOTs), risk assessments, and audits across corporate offices, network sites, and sales locations.
- Ensure compliance with national and company-specific HSE standards and guidelines.
- Monitor and follow up on corrective actions through inspection and investigation trackers in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Organize and facilitate awareness sessions, toolbox talks, and HSE training for both management and frontline staff.
- Prepare and present HSE performance dashboards and KPIs for management and steering committee reviews.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through continuous communication and engagement across teams.
- Support incident investigations, root cause analyses, and implementation of preventive measures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Environmental, or related discipline).
- 5+ years of experience in HSE management, preferably in the telecom, energy, or large-scale industrial sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of local and international safety standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Strong leadership, communication, and reporting skills.
- Proven experience in risk assessment, compliance audits, and safety program implementation.
- Certification in NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA (preferred).
