Hull’s programs and services include prevention and early intervention, family-based treatment, school-based services, community group care, campus-based care, adult services and education and training. Located in Calgary, we have been serving Alberta’s young people and families for 60 years, and support over 8,000 young people and families each year.

The Maintenance team is responsible for ensuring all Hull Services buildings, property and grounds are well maintained and in safe and proper working order. This department is critical to the daily operation our programs in which our employees work and children and youth live.

The Position:

We are looking for 2 temporary, full time Groundskeepers to support the maintenance team over the summer months from May to August 2024.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Location:

2266 Woodpark Ave. SW

Duties and Responsibilities:

Lawn care and maintenance

Landscaping

Regular maintenance of all lawn care machines & equipment

Other maintenance related projects as required, e.g. painting, moving

Weather depending, tasks related to building maintenance to aid the maintenance department

Qualifications:

Previous experience with lawn care and landscaping preferred.

A minimum of 3 years of driving experience with a class 5 or class 5 GDL license and a clean driving history.

High personal competence in the maintenance of positive relationships with colleagues, children and youth.

Demonstrated interest, commitment, consistency, and a high level of personal maturity and responsibility.

Ability to take initiatives and work independently and also as part of a team.

Clear Police Check including a Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Intervention Record Check.

Other working conditions (e.g. may require some physical exertion and lifting up to 50 lbs.)
