About This Role
Baykins Pharmaceutical Company—a healthcare distribution organization committed to operational excellence—is recruiting a Maintenance Officer for its facilities in Oniru, Lagos Island. This technical operations role ensures the ongoing repair, routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and safety compliance of electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, and physical plant equipment across company premises.
Key Responsibilities
- Preventive & Routine Maintenance: Execute scheduled inspections and routine servicing of physical facility structures, power backup generators, electrical networks, and mechanical equipment.
- Fault Diagnosis & Repairs: Troubleshoot and fix electrical wiring faults, plumbing leaks, fixtures, and mechanical failures across company premises.
- Vendor & Contractor Management: Supervise external technical service vendors or specialized contractors for complex installations or heavy machinery repairs.
- Logs & HSE Compliance: Maintain detailed service logs, record parts replacement, and ensure all facility operations comply with occupational health and safety standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Academic Background: OND, HND, or equivalent technical diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Technology, or a related trade field.
- Work Experience: 1+ years of hands-on technical facility maintenance or building services experience (added advantage).
- Technical Skills: Basic working knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC/plumbing layout troubleshooting, generator maintenance, and mechanical tools.
- Core Competencies: Problem-solving, physical dexterity, independent initiative, safety compliance, and team collaboration.
