Position: Lifeguard*
Position Summary: We are seeking a responsible and certified Lifeguard to join our team for the summer season. The ideal candidate will ensure the safety of all pool patrons, maintain a clean pool area, and contribute to a positive experience for our members and guests.
Responsibilities:
Maintain active Certified Lifeguard Certification.
Be available to work from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Be prepared to work on Mondays for Memorial Day, Labor Day, and other special events (the club is otherwise closed on Mondays).
Wear appropriate lifeguard attire at all times.
Administer Swimming Proficiency Tests to each Summer Sailing Camper.
Operate and utilize an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) as needed.
Perform pool maintenance tasks, including skimming the pool, cleaning pool skimmers, checking chemical levels, cleaning the pool deck, and organizing pool furniture.
Qualifications:
Current Lifeguard Certification required.
Experience with AED use preferred.
Strong swimming skills and ability to conduct proficiency tests.
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
