Licensed Veterinary Technician – Overnight Emergency Jobs in Denver, Colorado, USA at California Veterinary Hospital

Blue Pearl Pet Hospital in Midtown, NY, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic Overnight Emergency team.

This position is offering up to a $20k sign-on bonus!

Pay: $30.00 – $51.00 / hour + competitive shift differentials

This pay band is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency assessment tool. Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation commensurate with experience.

We offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked during nights and weekends. Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum. For example:

Mon – Fri: 6pm to 8am = +$4.50/hr
. Shift Differential

Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = +$4.50/hr
. Shift Differential

Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = +$8.00/hr
. Shift Differential

As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, you will:

Assess and triage incoming patients to prioritize urgent care needs.

Recognize and respond to patients at risk of arrest with advanced CPR protocols.

Place IV catheters and advanced lines, including jugular catheters and central lines.

Monitor and manage patients on mechanical ventilation.

Perform diagnostics and closely monitor critical patients for changes.

Administer and monitor anesthesia for emergency surgeries or procedures.

Provide advanced pain management, including CRIs and epidurals.

Collaborate with veterinarians and team members to deliver exceptional care.

Mentor and train co-workers, fostering a culture of learning and growth.

Educate pet owners on post-emergency care and recovery plans.

Maintain a positive, professional attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Nurse critically ill patients back to health and reunite them with their families.

Additional VTS benefits for pursuing & established VTS technicians.

Our Continuing Education Plan includes $500/year reimbursement for CVT and $750/year for VTS. The allowance can roll over up to $1,500 for CVT and VTS associates. Non-Credentialed, full-time Paraprofessionals are eligible for an annual CE stipend of $150. Full-time CVT associates also receive 8 hours of CE paid hours each year. Full-time VTS associates receive 12 hours of CE paid each year.

Paid CE hours can be carried over up to 24 hours. Newly hired associates will receive a pro-rated amount of any CE benefit for which they are eligible.
