Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. This position requires expertise in various veterinary procedures and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
– Assist veterinarians in examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
– Perform laboratory tests and analyze results
– Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
– Take and develop X-rays
– Handle dogs and cats with care and compassion
– Provide animal care, including feeding, bathing, and grooming
– Monitor animal vital signs during procedures and recovery
– Maintain accurate medical records
– Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration
– Assist with animal restraint when necessary
Skills:
– Proficiency in X-ray techniques and equipment operation
– Strong dog handling skills, ensuring their safety and comfort during procedures
– Knowledge of animal care practices, including nutrition, hygiene, and exercise
– Understanding of animal physiology and common veterinary medical conditions
– Experience as a Veterinary Technician or similar role preferred
– Familiarity with animal husbandry techniques
– Ability to perform animal catheterization when needed
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
– Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
