Full Job Description
We are a veterinary wellness clinic looking for a full-time registered veterinary technician. We are a clinic based on wellness and prevention. No emergencies. We provide annual exams, vaccines, and basic sick exams (ears, eyes, skin). We provide diagnostics using bloodwork, cytology’s, fecal tests and urinalysis. We offer spays and neuters as well as dentals and other minor surgeries. The ideal candidate for this position, should have a strong work ethic, great customer service skills and the ability to maintain a professional appearance and attitude. The candidate should also be honest, reliable and flexible. Having great organization skills is a plus! We are looking for a critical thinker with excellent written and verbal skills. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. The candidate should have knowledge of anesthesia protocols, operations and maintenance. Must be familiar with vaccines protocols as well. Logging drugs and keeping up with inventory will also be some of the responsibilities of the position and knowledge of flea/tick and heartworm preventions/protocols is preferred.
