Stonewall Veterinary Clinic in Gainesville Virginia is looking for licensed veterinary technicians, students who are currently in the process of completing the LVT program and assistant veterinary technicians
You will be working with a great team consisting of 4 veterinarians, 5 LVT’s, 7 assistant technicians, and 5 customer service reps. We value your work-life balance. You will have the same schedule every week so you can have time to schedule activities. The days and hours we are open are Monday through Friday 8-5 and Saturday 8-12. We have full time and part time positions available.
The duties/responsibilities for this position are:
Draw blood
· Collect urine – cysto
· Evaluate slides under the microscope – feces, urine, ears
· X-rays
· Placing IV catheters
· Administer IV fluids
· Assist & prepare pets for a variety of surgeries & procedures
· Induce & monitor anesthesia
· Dispense medications
· Assist doctors with appointments
· Perform technician appointments (bandage, anal glands, nail trims, vaccines)
