Performing the initial examination of animal.
Taking vital signs, drawing blood and gathering medical histories.
Providing emergency first aid.
Placing iv catheters.
Collecting specimens and performing in house diagnostics or preparing specimens to be shipped to lab.
Assisting in research.
Performing laboratory procedures.
Preparing animals and equipment for surgical procedures.
Administering medications and vaccines under the direction of the DVM.
Taking and processing x-rays.
Educating pet owners.
Maintaining a clean work area.
Cross training in other areas to provide aid to other employees when needed. This is a small clinic, with a small number of employees and everyone works in every area on occasion.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 – $21.00 per hour

Will you be available to work all weekdays, with one weekday, chosen by employer, off per week, and work one weekend per month? Schedule is 7:50am – 5:00pm, occasional overtime required, 4 days a week. Weekend Schedule is two trips daily, 30 minutes – 2 hours each trip.
Experience:
Veterinary technician: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
