Full Time Licensed Veterinary Technician Wanted
Interested in joining one of the largest, progressive, emergency veterinary clinics on the peninsula? The Peninsula Animal Referral Center is seeking a compassionate, team oriented experienced, positive full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician for our emergency department. Applicant must have strong communication skills, an energetic attitude, empathy, and enthusiasm for helping client and patient alike. Must have 1-3 years’ experience and a Virginia LVT license.
Our LVT will be responsible for a variety of duties include but not limited to, execute laboratory tests, assist Veterinarian in Surgery, patient monitoring and care, administering and logging controlled drugs, emergency triage, client communication and education, supervised euthanasia, and staff training. Full time schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday 3pm-12am with Friday, Sunday, and Monday off. Part time positions are Saturday, Sunday, or Mondays 8am-4pm.
Our 12,000 sq ft emergency & referral center is located between historic Williamsburg and the Virginia Beach/Norfolk metropolitan area. Amenities of this state-of-the-art facility include extensive monitoring and diagnostic equipment, and digital radiography. The recently remodeled emergency practice is in a separate area of the referral center and has enjoyed strong support from area practices for the past 49 years. Specialty practice includes a Dermatologist, Ophthalmologist and Surgeon.
