Located 15 minutes north of the Mario Cuomo Bridge, Animal Medical of New City proudly serves the New City, New York community. With being a one-hour drive north of New York, you have easy access to the city while living in a quiet, charming village setting.
Practice Overview
Animal Medical of New City is an AAHA accredited full service companion animal hospital. Home to a unique working atmosphere, we display close employee-client relations in order to provide high quality veterinary care. What You’ll Be Working On
Maintain a high level of client communication and patient care
Maintain a positive work environment and promote teamwork
Contribute by delivering high-quality care to our patients
Engaging and communicating with clients to deliver excellence in service
Primary job functions include surgical prep, dentistry, venipuncture, radiology, and IV catheter placement
Assist the doctor start to finish with patient treatments, procedures, and animal restraint
Perform clinical laboratory procedures to assist in diagnosis and treatment
Administer anesthetics or sedatives under the direction of a doctor
Qualifications
Be a Licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of New York
One year of experience as a licensed technician, preferred but not required
Minimum of one year of experience required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and continuous learning
Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives
