Licensed Veterinary Technician – Lead Technician
We’re looking for an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team as a Lead Technician and floor leader.
This is more than a traditional technician role. We’re looking for someone who is confident, organized, compassionate, and ready to take on a leadership role within the hospital. The Lead Technician will help oversee daily workflow on the floor, support the veterinary team, and serve as a mentor and trainer for other members of our technical and support staff.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as a leader and positive role model for the technical and support team
- Help coordinate daily workflow and keep the floor running efficiently
- Supervise and support veterinary assistants and other clinical staff
- Train and mentor new and existing team members
- Help establish and maintain high standards of patient care
- Assist team members with procedures, appointments, treatments, anesthesia, surgery, and other clinical duties
- Monitor patient care and ensure treatments and medical orders are carried out appropriately
- Promote excellent communication and teamwork between doctors, technicians, assistants, and client service staff
- Help identify workflow challenges and work with management to develop solutions
- Provide constructive feedback and coaching to team members
- Help maintain hospital protocols, safety standards, and a clean, organized clinical environment
- Step in wherever needed to support the team and patient care
What We’re Looking For
- Current Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) credential
- Previous veterinary technician experience
- Strong clinical and technical skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Confidence working in a fast-paced veterinary environment
- A natural ability to teach, coach, and encourage others
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to hold team members accountable while maintaining a positive work environment
- A team-oriented attitude and willingness to lead by example
- Compassion for patients, clients, and coworkers
- Ability to prioritize and make sound decisions during busy shifts
Previous leadership, supervisory, or training experience is preferred, but we’re also interested in experienced LVTs who are ready to take the next step in their careers.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 – $29.00 per hour
