Sleepy Hollow Animal Hospital is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team in the role of Technician. This role will have to help oversee the work flow of the hospital & its case load – day to day. We are looking for the most talented, mission and service-oriented Licensed Veterinary Technician that is passionate and inspired to provide outstanding veterinary medical care and client service.

Job Type: Part-time
– Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
– Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
– Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and fecal exams
– Position for and take digital X-rays
– Prepare animals for surgery and monitor their anesthesia during procedures
– Provide post-operative care and monitor patients during recovery
– Clean and maintain equipment, exam rooms, and treatment areas
– Assist with dental cleanings and other dental procedures
– Educate pet owners on proper animal care and answer their questions
Requirements:
Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology
– Certification or licensure as a veterinary technician in the state of New York
– Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital
– Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques
– Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members
– Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
– Proficiency in using veterinary software for medical recordkeeping
– Willingness to learn new techniques and stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine
