Tharp Animal Health Care Center, the area’s premier veterinary hospital, is on the lookout for a dynamic Registered Veterinary Technician, or a Vet Tech graduating from an AVMA Accredited Veterinary Technology Program to join our dedicated team. The job is also open to Veterinary Assistants who have at least 1 year experience in an active small animal practice or have graduated from a veterinary assistant program. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – will depend upon your degree of training:
· Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures
· Provide Assistance during surgeries and recoveries
· Administer medications and assist with treatments as directed
· Perform basic lab work, cleaning, and maintenance of equipment
· Provide compassionate care to patients and excellent service to clients.
· You will work under a Supervisor RVT with training as necessary

COMPETITIVE PAY: Be rewarded for your hard work! Competitive pay is based on education and experience, with merit bonuses and raises available.
WORK SCHEDULE: Veterinary technicians and assistants are scheduled 4 days per week when working half day on Saturdays on rotation, then Monday through Friday on weeks not working Saturdays. Hours are M-F 8:00-5:30 and Sat. 8:00-12:00.

COMPENSATION:
Unlicensed Veterinary Technicians/Veterinary Assistants $11.50 – $16.75
Licensed Veterinary Technicians $17.00 – $22.00
Pay is based on experience and competitive wages within the industry. Pay can vary based on degree of experience.
