Role Description The Lecturer will deliver high-quality lectures, seminars, and practical sessions to undergraduate and/or graduate students in medical and health-related disciplines. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing instructional materials, developing syllabi, assessing student performance, and providing academic advising and mentorship. The Lecturer will participate in curriculum development, collaborate with colleagues on teaching and learning initiatives, and contribute to departmental and university meetings as required. Engagement in scholarly activities, such as research, publications, or clinical projects, and participation in academic events and conferences is encouraged. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Astana Medical University in Astana, Kazakhstan.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a relevant medical, biomedical, or health sciences field (Master’s required; PhD or equivalent preferred).
- Demonstrated teaching experience at the university or college level, with the ability to deliver clear, structured, and engaging lectures.
- Strong skills in curriculum planning, assessment design, and use of modern teaching methodologies, including digital learning tools.
- Evidence of scholarly activity, such as research experience, publications, or participation in academic or professional conferences.
- Excellent communication skills in English and/or local language, with the ability to work cooperatively in a diverse, multidisciplinary academic environment.
- Organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to balance teaching, student support, and academic responsibilities.
- Commitment to ethical conduct, inclusive teaching practices, and supporting the academic success and well-being of students.
- Prior clinical or professional experience in healthcare (where relevant to the discipline) is an advantage.
