Experienced Lead Veterinary Nurse/Educator
Hourly or salary is negotiable
As the clinical team grows, we want every team member to receive the training, encouragement, feedback, and consistency needed to perform confidently and provide outstanding patient care. This new leader will serve as a mentor, teacher, coach, and trusted sounding board for the nursing team.
Compensation
Hourly or salary is negotiable based on ability to communicate advanced diagnostics and procedures to clients and staff, to work independently and have a high pace of work function.
Schedule
- Predictable 4/4.5-day workweek
- One Saturday per month
- Saturday shifts end at noon
- Hospital closed every Sunday

Clinical responsibilities
– Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures
– Perform all technical and diagnostics with great proficiency and skill
– Maintain complete and accurate patient records
– Communicate with clients clearly and compassionately about procedures and diagnostics with depth of understanding
Qualifications
– At least ten years of progressive experience in veterinary medicine is strongly preferred
– Strong technical skills: difficult blood draws, animal handling and decision making, surgical and recovery skills
– Previous mentoring, training, lead, or supervisory experience
– Demonstrated ability to coach people with different experience levels and learning styles
– Excellent communication, organization, judgment, and attention to detail
– Ability to balance leadership responsibilities with clinical participation
– Calm, professional, and solutions-oriented approach
– Commitment to high-quality medicine and respectful teamwork
