Kendrick Recruitment is excited to announce an incredible opening for a Lead Trail Guide at a luxury safari lodge in Kruger National Park. If you have the experience, skills, and passion to lead unforgettable safaris and share your knowledge with guests, this could be your next big adventure.
What’s the Role?
As the Lead Trail Guide, you will be at the forefront of offering guests an immersive and exciting wildlife experience.
Your role will include leading walking safaris, ensuring the safety of guests, and sharing your expert knowledge of the bush, animals, and conservation efforts. This is an opportunity to work in one of the world’s most renowned wildlife destinations.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience in guiding safaris, particularly in walking trails and bush craft
Deep understanding of African wildlife, ecosystems, and conservation
Strong leadership skills and a passion for guiding and educating others
Commitment to promoting sustainable practices and environmental stewardship
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage guests with insightful and educational information
High level of physical fitness and comfort working in the wild under challenging outdoor conditions
First Aid and wilderness safety certifications
Responsibilities:
Lead walking safaris that are both thrilling and informative
Ensure the safety of guests and staff at all times during guided activities
Share knowledge of local wildlife, plants, and ecosystems
Act as an ambassador for conservation and environmental sustainability
Work closely with the lodge team to create an outstanding guest experience
Support other lodge activities, providing insight into the natural environment
