Full Job Description
Lead The Way K9 Training in Delaware, Ohio is hiring a PT-FT AM/PM Kennel Tech. Schedule will be Tuesday 1pm-10pm, Wednesday 12pm-9pm, Thursday 6:30am – 3:30pm, Friday 6:30am – 3:33pm, and Saturday 6:30am – 330pm. This position does require some holidays, with time and a half holiday pay.You would be OFF on Sunday and Monday.Daily shift includes 1 hour lunch. We are looking to hire and start training immediately. Ideally, we’re looking for someone who lives within 20-30 minutes of downtown Delaware, Ohio. The facilities are located 5 miles west of downtown Delaware. Starting pay is $16 – $18/hour based on experience. There’s a 90 day performance evaluation which may provide an additional pay increase.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: providing food, water, meds as needed, cleaning kennels, and assisting with social playtime for dogs. You may also be asked to assist with preparing dogs for pet services like bathing or helping with check-outs. As part of your duties and responsibilities you may be asked to lift up to 40lbs. It is a physical job, so if you do not like manual labor, this is not a job for you.
Previous dog handling experience preferred but not required however, we are looking for hard working, positive minded go getters that LOVE dogs!
This PT-FT position is 30-40 hours weekly position with 1 hour lunch included. Employee benefits include 401k contributions, PAID vacation, Health Insurance contributions, and paid time off. Benefits will be discussed during interview.
Interviews start next week, we’re planning to hire, train, and have our next superstar working this month. There are 2 Interview times Monday-Friday 12:45pm and 1:15pm.
