Feline Medical Clinic is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team as Lead LVT. In partnership with our leadership team, you’ll help lead our progressive, feline-exclusive hospital in Vancouver, WA. As our Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), you’ll serve as both a skilled technician and a trusted leader for the clinical team. You’ll help coordinate daily workflow, mentor and develop team members, maintain high medical and nursing standards, and work closely with our veterinarians to ensure exceptional patient care and client service. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced LVT who enjoys coaching others, leading by example, and helping create a positive, collaborative hospital culture while still remaining hands-on in patient care.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/RVT/CVT)
- Three or more years of progressive veterinary technical experience preferred.
- Fear Free handling skills and/or certification provided
- Extensive experience leading and developing veterinary teams with a positive and collaborative management style
- Strong communication, coaching, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Clinical & Technical Skills
- Knowledge of feline medicine, anesthesia, dentistry, surgery, nursing care, technical skills, and inventory management
- Working knowledge of DEA and OSHA regulations, and ability to maintain accurate protocols
Management Responsibilities
- Supervise and support veterinary technicians and assistants
- Oversee daily hospital operations and appointment flow
- Partner with veterinarians and staff to ensure exceptional medicine and patient care
- Assist with employee training/coaching, OSHA compliance, scheduling, performance management, and accountability
