Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise animal‑care attendants during shifts, coaching, guiding, and setting the tone for pet‑care excellence.
- Train new hires on pet handling, procedures, and safety.
- Monitor pet guests for health, safety, and comfort; report issues to the General or Assistant Manager.
- Provide food, water, and daily care to all animals.
- Oversee medication and special‑needs guests; administer meds as required (med‑administration experience preferred).
- Bath, brush, and maintain hygiene of animals.
- Keep the facility clean, comfortable, and odor‑free; clean up accidents promptly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in animal care preferred; med‑administration experience is a plus.
- CPR training is a big plus (training can be provided).
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- High school diploma required.
- Calm under pressure and strong communication skills.
- Leadership ability to guide teammates.
- Full availability 7 days a week, including evenings, weekends, and mandatory half‑day on holidays.
- Must work shifts lasting 10–12 hours with a scheduled 2‑hour lunch break.
