Role and Responsibilities
The Landscaping Crew Member will assist with daily landscaping tasks on the base. Your responsibilities include completing landscaping duties safely and efficiently under supervision.
Perform routine checks and maintenance on equipment daily.
Landscaping Tasks:
Trim hedges and remove weeds.
Maintain landscaping beds.
Mow, rake, edge, and hand-prune plants.
Spray lawns, shrubs, and trees.
Plant grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs.
Water lawns and shrubs.
Clean drainage ditches and culverts.
Operate machinery safely, including tractors with attachments (mowers, fertilizer spreaders, etc.).
Wear safety gear and notify the Crew Leader of unsafe conditions.
Coordinate with the Crew Leader to ensure standards are met in assigned areas.
Qualifications
No experience necessary; training provided!
Preferred Skills
Minimum of one year landscaping experience preferred.
Physical & Environmental Demands
Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects regularly.
Stamina for physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Exposure to noise, dust, and dirt from equipment.
Ability to handle hazardous materials safely.
Must wear PPE and follow safety guidelines.
