Responsibilities:
The Landscape Laborer uses hand and/or power tools or equipment to perform a variety of landscape and irrigation duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate hand and/or power tools and equipment for landscape and irrigation tasks
Lay sod, plant, water, fertilize, dig, rake, and install sprinklers
Install mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units
Follow internal control and compliance practices
Safeguard assets from theft and misuse
Ensure segregation of duties to minimize fraud
Adhere to business ethics, laws, and regulations
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; reconcile physical assets with records
Use mechanized hand tools such as gas-powered shears
Use manual hand tools like shovels, including extended use
Qualifications:
Preferred: 6 months of commercial landscape experience (not required)
Additional
Preferred Skills:
Experience working near natural bodies of water
Ability to work 8+ hours/day, 5 days/week, with some overtime/weekend work
Comfort working at heights (e.g., on an 8’ ladder)
Ability to work near automotive traffic
Capability to work in extreme temperatures (>100°F)
Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
Ability to load/unload materials onto trailers
Physical ability to bend, stoop, and twist continuously
