Role Description:
The Laboratory Manager will oversee and ensure the smooth operation of Poulpharm Philippines’ laboratory, focusing on veterinary diagnostics, microbiology, and poultry health research. This role involves maintaining high-quality standards, managing laboratory procedures, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily laboratory operations, including sample processing, testing, and result validation.
Ensure adherence to laboratory safety protocols, quality control measures, and regulatory standards.
Oversee diagnostic tests related to poultry health, including microbiological, parasitological, and serological analyses.
Coordinate with research teams and veterinarians to support studies on poultry diseases and vaccine efficacy.
Maintain accurate records, reports, and laboratory documentation.
Manage laboratory inventory, equipment maintenance, and procurement of necessary supplies.
Train and mentor laboratory staff on standard operating procedures and new techniques.
Communicate findings to internal teams and stakeholders, ensuring clarity and reliability of results.
Assist in the development and implementation of new diagnostic methods and research projects.
Required:
Licensed Veterinarian in the Philippines
Strong understanding of animal health, diagnostics, and microbiology
Ability to follow and enforce laboratory safety protocols and quality control standards
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and leadership abilities
Ability to train and supervise laboratory personnel
Proficiency in data recording, report writing, and basic lab software
Preferred (but not required):
Experience in a diagnostic or research laboratory setting
Knowledge of poultry health and disease diagnostics
Familiarity with microbiological, serological, or molecular laboratory techniques
Background in Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) or ISO accreditation processes
Experience in managing laboratory workflows and inventory
